In Why Not? A Podcast, two twenty-something graduate students attempt to understand the world and its serious issues in unserious ways. They cover a wide range of issues, often attempting to come up with equitable and progressive solutions.

About
We started our podcast in the hopes of doing a few things. First, we wanted to understand the serious issues that both the United States and the world were facing. Then, we wanted to try to explain those issues in unserious but thoughtful ways. Finally, we wanted to develop solutions to these issues, not always the best ones but real, practical ones, while keeping in mind that we are just two twenty-somethings from South Carolina.

Progressive Issues and Hard Fought Solutions
Education
Thomas' focus area, the podcast often delves into issues of education from unique perspectives. So far, the podcast has looked at the on-the-ground teaching situation, critical race theory, and broadband access. We undoubtedly will delve into many more topics in the coming episodes.
Democracy, Fun, and Everything in Between.
Almost every topic that we cover has something to do with democracy and human rights, and it is likely our most consistent theme. On the other hand, we like to not get too existential, and often delve into more fun topics like Craft Beer and Sports. With Why Not?, you can expect a wide array account to be available each week!
Environment
Caleb's focus area, the podcast often deals with several key environmental issues, including the recent IPCC report, the Green New Deal, the Holocene Extinction event, and many more. This is one of the most pressing issues of our generation, and we have only just begun diving into the many topics which exist.
Why?
Why should you choose to listen to Why Not? and support us as we attempt to build out a progressive media structure? Because it is vitally important. Progressive policies are often the the most popular that are available to populations. But thanks to misinformation from outlets such as Fox News, Breitbart, and OAN, they are cast as outrageous, implausible, and utterly dangerous to the "average American". We are a part of a process that is trying to stand up for those policies, and promote them and progressive ideals in the hope that they become the future of society.
